History of race
The Czech terrier is a result of the designed breeding between a dog of Sealyham - terrier and a girl of Scottish terrier in order to acquire the light dog with short legs, the whole body with pigmentation, practical tilted ears and with easy adjustment hair which can be controlled well. In 1949 Mr. František Horák from Klánovice u Prahy started with this improving. In 1959 the dogs were exhibited for the first time. The race was admitted by FCI in 1963.
