How does it work?
Studying words with Vocatude
is comparable with working through
a pile of cards that have a word on one side and the translation on the other
side. Each time you take a card and try to give the translation. Then you check
the backside to see if you were right. As soon as you know a
word, you put the card aside. In the end you know all the words.
A computer offers more possibilities however. You can select which words you
want to learn and in what direction: from Czech to English or from English to
Czech or all mixed. The
computer keeps track of your progress per word. You can decide for yourself how often a word should be asked until you
know it well enough. Vocatude in Czech is also available in Dutch.
How do you start?
The program works with word lists. To start practicing you only have to open
a ready made list and select the words you want to practice or you study the
complete list.
As soon as you start an exercise, the words appear one by one. You choose yourself
whether you want the word to be
shown, to be pronounced or both. The program will ask if you knew the word and keeps track of your right and
wrong answers. You don't have to type the word.
