NATURA MORTA

A solo performance for one actor/puppeteer, inspired by old Flemish still-life paintings where life symbolically stops in motion (a vase with flowers on the table, skull lying on top of a book...). Our painting eventually becomes alive: a white night moth flippers its wings through the flowers, a tiny green lizard rushes past… and the Skull keeps commenting on the actor's intimate, poem-like confessions with irony and playfulness.

Performance of shadow and light and tiny sounds penetrating into the imagination, the fantasy of the abandoned worlds of childhood. A mask, a wood puppet and everyday objects are among the simple tools we use to create a fragile, intimate and evocative world.
