Vladimír
Doležal was
born in Prague, where he graduated from
Conservatoire of music as a pupil of prof. Miluše Dvořáková. While
still a student he became a member of a well known early music vocal
ensemble The Prague madrigalists.It was with this ensemble
that he visited almost all european countries, as well as Canada
and USA.After graduation from Prague Conservatoire Mr.Doležal attended
masterclasses in Stuttgart and in Siena, where he received higly coveted
golden diploma. Upon returning from Italy, Mr.Doležal continued
studying with a famous
Czech singer prof. Karel Berman.
Since 1981 Mr.Doležal has been dividing his time between oratorio
performances as well as opera, the latter mainly in the capacity of a
soloist with the National theatre company in Prague. Among the
orchestras Mr.Doležal has appeared with are the renowned
Czech Filharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool
Philharmonic Orchestra, Nürnberger Symphoniker,Maastrichter Symphoniker,etc.
To name just a few. He has Worked with world class conductors – sir
Colin Davis, sir Charles Mackeras, Václav Neumann, Zdeněk Košler, Jiří
Kout, Jiří Bělohlávek, Helmuth Rilling, Aldo Ceccato Libor Pešek,Ondrej
Lenard etc. Mr.Doležal has performed as soloist
in many countries including Japan, China, United Kingdom, USA,
France, Spain, Italy , Luxembourg, Norway, Finland , Belgique etc. His
operatic and oratorio repertoire is very verstile and contains well
known masterpieces ( Beethovens Fidelio, C.Orff´s Carmina Burana,
Mozart´s operas . Janáček´s Jenůfa, The case Macropulos, Dvořák´s
Rusalka,Verdi´s Requiem Leoncavallo´s
I Pagliacci) as well as rarities ( Gothic symphony by Havergal
Brian) . Mr. Doležal has
made recording about 40 CD´s.
