What is RoboSplit?

RoboSplit is a small file splitter application which can be used for cutting files of any kind into pieces and for rejoining them later on the same or another computer. Thanks to uMerge, a RoboSplit self-merging companion, it is not necessary for the main application to be installed on every participating machine. RoboSplit is specialized in unmanned batch processing of very large files, however, it can be used for instant splitting of a several megs file as well.

Main areas for RoboSplit usage, include, but are not limited to:

• Transfer of large files via email (circumvents account and attachment size limit).
• FTP file transfer (lessens probability of transmission error).
• Transport of large files on limited capacity media.

• Able to split/merge very large files (file size > 2 GB).
• Computes CRC-32 on every chunk as well as the original file.
• Processes individual files as well as directories.
• Optionally shutdowns computer when processing finishes.
• Split/Merge operation launched in a separate thread.
• Processing thread priority is selectable.
