I would be pleased by your e-mail questions, notices and information about my ancestors. Our family lives in Prague, Czech Republic, Central Europe. We are four: Thomas, Jana, Martin and Stephen (and Kazi - golden retriever and two nonames turtles).

Tomas Ledvina´s ancestors were workers. The grandfather came to Prague, capitol of former Czechoslovakia, the short time after the state was established (sometime after 1920) from Slany town (50 km NW). His grandfather came to Slany from Rocov village (40 km W). Rocov has two parts - Horní Rocov (Upside Rocov) is normal village in the best hop producing region. Dolni Rocov (Lower Rocov) is in particular the well known for its monastery and several houses around it. The Ledvina family lived here for a long time, the earliest information about my direct ancestor is about Václav LEDVINA (+1826) and his wife Magdalena. The writing notation about some miller Jiri Ledvina and his wife Ludmila is from the year 1700.

The mother branch of my family tree is Klepl family. My grandfather Jan was historian - the Overhead archives counsel. He came to Prague from Týnec nad Labem town (80 km E) where his father was the seneschal of mill. He was born in Horice town (120 km NE), his grandfather was the teacher in Sobcice village (20 km W from Horice). The branch of the Klepl´s wife family was the best known to me - Solc family from Chlumec nad Cidlinou town (100 km E) where I spent my childhood vacations. My grandmother Ruzena Solc(ova) was a daughter of sylvan keeper. His grandfather (written Solce) was the sylvan keeper too, several villages far away from here. His father came to this region from Johanisberg near Liberec town, northern Bohemia.  I don't know exactly what is the Czech name of Johanisberg. Nothing very interesting in my history, I know. No liege, no genius, no artist. However it is interesting for me to search in history.
