It is often said that a dog is mans best friend. We expect our best friend to protect us for danger in a variety of complex situations. In 2004 acts of terror increased three fold compared to 2003. This trend has continued. Crimes against ones person are also on the increase. The right dog with the right training can indeed be your best friend when the circumstances dictate it.

In 2004 700 people were killed, and over 9000 wounded by acts of terror. Violent crimes are way beyond counting. In many instances the presence of a protection dog, or search and rescue dog helped make stop this number from being even higher. The people who trained or provided these dogs deserve credit and recognition for their contributions towards public safety. We thank them, we hope you will to.
