Cellphone inventor talks about impact of new technology on spectrum

From a WCA International press release, 17 November:

"The impact of new technologies upon the development of spectrum policy will be the topic today on WCA Live! - the weekly webcast radio series produced by the Wireless Communications Association International (WCA) and My Technology Lawyer Radio. Hosts of the show are WCA President Andrew Kreig and My Technology Lawyer Radio Producer Scott Draughon.

"The guest for the WCA Live! show Friday [17 November] at 2 p.m. [East Coast US time] will be: Wireless cellphone inventor Martin Cooper, who is Executive Chairman of ArrayComm LLC and a member of WCA's Board of Directors. This month he was named by the U.S. Department of Commerce to its prestigious Spectrum Advisory Committee... The committee is part of the President's Spectrum Policy Initiative, which was established by President George W. Bush in June 2003 to further develop and implement a U.S. spectrum policy for the 21st century...

"A pioneer in the wireless communications industry, Cooper conceived of the first portable cellular phone in 1973 and then led the 10-year process of bringing it to market.
