The most valuable are information! I have not
any information about a custom version of Flight Simulator for
Cessna's retail flight stores (I am not sure about a number of the version and
a computer type). Still nobody let me know. Does anybody remember this
issue? I would be appreciate your knowledge. If you have some
additional information regarding to any early Flight Simulator version, to subLOGIC corporation, to B. Artwick and S. Moment, please, let me know. I
need your knowledge to save them for history. For example, I
received very interesting and valuable information from
Thomas Funke from Germany,
Fred Peralta from USA,
information about
a special edition of MSFS 2.12 for AST Research, information about a
custom conversion by Andras
Szigethy from Hungary and so on. I need this kind of information.
There are seven
main questions:
1.
Who is an author of the
A2-FS1 (Flight Simulator 1 for Apple II) with 12x12 squares scenery? Was
it made originally by subLOGIC (Bruce Artwick)? According to current
information it seems it was made by someone out of subLOGIC.
2.
Is there any other Flight Simulator issue
(by subLOGIC or Microsoft) for any other computer platform than we know
(timeline)?
I guess I have them all, but who knows.
3.
Does anyone know information about a
special Flight Simulator issue for Cessna’s flight stores?
4.
There is
a demo as a part of subLOGIC 3D Graphics Package for Apple II (1979). Does the
demo (with Flight Simulator pictures) exist for any other computer platform?
5.
Does anyone have available at least beta
version of not released subLOGIC Flight Assignment: Air Force?
6.
Did subLOGIC really release their Scenery
Disks 8 and 10? It seems they were never released.
7.
There is New York scenery in
Microsoft Flight Simulator since version 1.00 and I know that there are WTC
"twins" buildings at Manhattan since version 2.XX. Are
there the WTC buildings in Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.00 (1.05) as
well? I can find JFK, but any buildings at Manhattan. Could somebody
confirm that?

During few years I collected all released subLOGIC/Microsoft Flight
Simulator versions, sub-versions and modifications. I got some language
mutations and rare non numerous regional releases. Many
articles have been written about collecting as an worthwhile alternative
investment in the
Fisher Investments Forbes Magazine column. Many kinds of collector's
items including old software like the Flight Simulator can be fun to collect
in addition to being a smart
financial plan.
Well, the thing I am looking for is a green and a blue manual of A2-FS1.
The manuals look like the pictures below.
I bought almost all subLOGIC
Scenery Disks (version 1.0) for IBM PC's Flight Simulator 2.x.
Even some willing people donated few releases. I made hundreds of
interesting screenshots and videos of
these rare and hard to find issues and I saved them for history.
I am missing SD 8, 10 and 12. I believe that
the SD 8 and 10 were never released, so I am only looking for
subLOGIC SD 12 in 5,25 inch floppy disk format.
The scenery boxes may look like the pictures below.
