I postponed the Flight Simulator X and Acceleration add-on for few
years. The reason was simple. I had only a computer with P4 at 1.7 GHz,
0.5 GB RAM and GeForce 3 graphics card (ELSA Gladiac 920). This time very powerful
computer indeed, but after nine years it was suitable only for Microsoft
Flight Simulator 2004. Now I bought a new strong computer with i7-950
over clocked at 3.9 GHz, 12 GB fast RAM, a very quick system hard disk
and a wonderful ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics card. Everything carefully
tuned with Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit.
How many frame rates? It is not easy to say, because it depends
on many factors. There are different frame rates in cockpit view,
outside a plane view. It depends on an actual scenery and so on. But I
can say that the game runs absolutely fluently in full HD resolution
(1920 x 1080 x 32b) in Ultra High details setup.
The pictures from Microsoft Flight Simulator X are so beautiful that you
can use them as desktop wallpapers. Here are few examples (miniatures
only). I notice you
that they are only made with the original Microsoft Flight Simulator
X and Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration Expansion
Pack. I did not use any other special
scenery disk, aircraft or other add-on. I think I need not add any
additional words to the Flight Simulator X. The videos and pictures say
everything...
