Philosophy of the club

    ... is simple. To develop Aikido and support the members of our club in their personal progress without needless bureaucracy and pervasive politicization. That´s why we are indebted to no organization and each of our members can freely choose his own way. The only federation we support is free democratical network of Aikido Europe.
    Considerable financial resources are spent for developing of international cooperation and support of our members to participate on seminars in Czech Republic as well as abroad. In the same time we try to minimize the financial burden on our members, no one earn money with the leading of the dojo and vice versa, each member of the Executive Committee pay the membership fee in full.
    Our Dojo regularly organizes seminars of czech as well as foreign teachers to ensure of sufficient technical background to its members.

Membership Fee

    In the academic year 2008/2009 there was an increase to 1000, - CZK per semester (September to January, February to August). This money is used to finance seminars organized by our dojo, to pay rent for the tatami and support the activities of our members.

History

    The club was founded in 1996 under the "House of children and youth" in Czech Budweis by Ing. Aleš Kubelka and Ing. David Mičan and currently comprises about sixty more or less regularly exercising members.
    In 1999 the Children's Section was created to extend member base to this group of trainees and in the same time to separate them for safety from adult members.
    21th of April 2008 after thirteen years General Meeting elected a new leadership headed by Mgr. Václav Meškan. MUDr. Ján Pertlíček became his deputy.
