Prague Ratter
It is a breed with a small population which has not been still admitted by
FCI. Small but cheerful dog who loves his family, is diffident of strange
people, very outgoing with children, loves heat and higher situated places,
the enemy of rats and mouses, quick and dapper.
Sometimes he is muddled up with German Pinch, he differs from this breed by
smaller size, rounder head and its weight around 2kgs.
Prague Ratter is a historical treasure...first steps are dated back to the
times of Charles the Great (8th Century). His appearance is very similar to
the current breed.
He is good for city even countryside, loves walking and especially the human
company. He takes care of his own purity, more as a cat than dog.
Mainly, his popularity has been increased in Suisse and Japan over the past
few years.
He deserves your admiration and confession, which is the longway running
(usualy 1-3 puppies on one dam).
So it is very important to choose his new owners not to loose the promising
individuals (not to let them run to waste).
A big deal in a regenaration process of Prague Ratter had had mainly Ing.
Jan Findejs, Doc.Ing.Rudolf Šiler, Dr.Sc. a František Horák.
